Recently, I was offered the opportunity to promote Fatal on The Angry Mailman Podcast. If you haven't ever listened to it, may I suggest you get on that right now. Anthony Alex and David Bubba Brazeel are two seriously hilarious dudes. You WILL laugh. I promise. Or if you are like me, you will cry. From laughing too hard.
Now, this was my first time to ever podcast (is that what they call it? I'm not sure). Let me be clear: I was FRESH.
Get a headset with a microphone, they tell me.
But I'm really not a talker.
Leave the talking to us, they tell me.
But I'm not very funny.
It will be fine, they tell me.
Turns out my headset was slightly on the crappy side so it took almost an hour just to get the audio to a point where it was usable. Then my internet service, Middle Of Nowhere Wireless (no, that's not real), decided to drop signal about a hundred times. Eventually, we were up and recording. And guess what? Things went well. I talked like a normal human being instead of a hermit fresh out of the writing cave. The book was promoted well. There was all kinds of funny going on.
As we were wrapping up a two hour session...
Anthony says words that will haunt me for the rest of my life (heavy on the dramatics): "It didn't record. We didn't get it."
Now these guys are jokers. So of course I thought they were joking. But no. No. Nah.
The next night we tried again. And I'm pleased to say, the result was successful. Even though I was not at my best. Yeah, they got the hermit me instead of the normal me. But it was alright because it made for a super hilarious episode.
So, a huge thank you to the guys for helping this newbie out! If you're on Twitter, give them a follow @AngryPodcast and check out the hilariosity!
Here's the episode I cursed!!!
